Westcotes Neighbourhood Policing Weekly Update
Your local officers have remained active across the Westcotes area this week, focusing on community engagement, enforcement, and proactive policing.
Officers spent time visiting a local nursery while on the beat, helping to build positive relationships within the community and providing a reassuring presence to staff, children, and parents.
A female was arrested after being identified as wanted on recall and has now been dealt with accordingly.
We have also engaged with a number of local businesses regarding Challenge 25 policies, specifically around the sale of knives and sharp objects. These conversations are part of ongoing efforts to ensure compliance with legislation and to promote responsible retailing in the area.
Officers responded to a road traffic collision on Narborough Road, assisting those involved and ensuring the location was made safe with minimal disruption.
A bike register event was carried out, giving residents the opportunity to protect their property and support future recovery efforts in the event of theft.
Throughout the week, officers have conducted proactive patrols, gathering intelligence and maintaining a visible presence to deter crime and address local concerns.
We will continue to work closely with the community. If you see officers out on patrol, please feel free to speak us.
